Transliteration of the Holy Quran
We have produced a transliteration of the Holy Quran to enable those who
cannot read the Arabic text to recite it by following its representation in the
English alphabet. The transliteration
shows the sounds of the Arabic letters and words through English letters,
without employing any diacritical marks used in formal, academic
transliteration, and is thus easier for the ordinary reader.
This is available in two editions as follows:
- The transliteration is accompanied by the
original Arabic text of the Quran and an English
translation. It is in 2 volumes, totalling about 1400 pages.
- Transliteration-only edition (525 pages): This contains only the transliteration, and brief introductions to each chapter.
