The entry about Asma’, the older sister of Aisha, in the appendix to the Hadith book Mishkat al-Masabih. This was first written about 700 years ago.

It is stated above that Asma’ was ten years older than Aisha, and died in 73 A.H. at the age of 100 years. Thus, at the time of Aisha joining the Holy Prophet as his wife in 2 A.H., Asma’ was 29, and hence Aisha was 19 years old.
